4-Problems That May Be Encountered in UES

This may be due to the merger of students taking lessons from the bottom of the system with other branches. Distance learning courses and branch lists associated with courses are transferred directly to the UES via BYS after being rearranged by Student Affairs. If you think there's something wrong with these courses or you want to know more about them, please contact your department or unit student affairs first.

The account of users who entered their username and password wrongly at the time of entry into the UES is detected and passed on by the system as suspicious activity. Users who encounter this need to request support from UZEM.

Students can participate in a live session in one of the corresponding lessons in the curriculum. He can then follow the repetition of all the lessons in the system. Conflicts in the course recordings are controlled by the BYS system, and the information is transmitted to the student and counsellor at the exact time of registration. In accordance with this, definitive registration acceptance and rejection procedures are carried out. You can consult with your counsellor teachers/sections/students for conflicting lessons.

If the teacher has added the Task activity to the course and no student can see it, the teacher must check the activity settings. The timing criterion may have been activated by the teacher. For example, because the next week is selected for scheduling, the task may only be shown to students when the week arrives, or the activity may be set to be displayed only at a specific date interval. If you select an advanced date for the Scheduled Week when adding the educational activity, students will not see the relevant activity until that week. The activity is only automatically open to students on the first day of the selected week. For example, if students are asked for a task with a last delivery date for the week, the week in the Schedule of the task should be selected so that students can view the Task activity on the course page. Therefore, instructors should either select the week in which they are, or should not choose the week at all, when choosing the Task schedule. For detailed information about the assignment activity, see http://online.marmara.edu.tr/.

If the user has completed the criterion for terminating the Virtual Class activity and the status of participation in the upper right corner of the virtual Class card appears to be Not yet entered, he/she can re-calculate the participation rate. Users who have completed the criteria can start the calculation manually by clicking on the Re-Account button located directly next to the relevant Virtual Class card in the List view on the lesson page. The updated live attendance and replay rates resulting from the calculation are displayed next to the virtual class name.

All user browsing on the system is logged. According to these logs, the course progress states are automatically calculated by the system at certain periods. In each calculation, the system draws a conclusion by comparing the Finish Criterion selected by the instructor when the activity is added to the UES in relation to the user's participation rate. The completion criterion can be different for each activity. In the calculation for the Virtual Class activity, if the user specifies the End criterion, the status on the activity card will appear as Joined. If the user's participation rate is not sufficient to complete the termination criteria, the status on the activity card appears as Not yet entered. Users who have not entered yet on the virtual class card must first complete the entry criteria for this activity.

If you have a problem with the distance learning system, you will be supported as soon as possible if you report the problem through our university distance learning centre support application.
